Penang/Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), July 2 : Seven Indian nationals have lodged a complaint with the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, accusing their employer in Penang of abusing them and failing to pay their salaries regularly for the past four years.

According to The Star, the men, aged between 20 and 28, were employed at a barbershop in Paya Terubong.

They alleged that their employer made them work 12 hours daily with only a 10-minute break for meals. They were not given any day off, except on Deepavali.

London  - The family of Britain's "Great Train Robber", Ronnie Biggs, Thursday reacted angrily to the government's decision to keep the frail 79-year-old in jail.

British Justice Secretary Jack Straw Wednesday ruled that Biggs, who was convicted in 1964, escaped and spent 36 years on the run from police, should serve the remainder of his sentence as he had been "wholly unrepentent."

The findings are based on the analysis of DNA samples from tens of thousands of people across the globe, conducted by a team of international researchers, including scientists at Aberdeen and Edinburgh universities.

Sydney, July 2 : Tech Mahindra, the new owner of the troubled Indian IT services firm Satyam, has officially written to the World Bank seeking an end to the eight-year ban against Satyam Computer Services for allegedly providing improper benefits to bank staff.

The company has rebranded itself as Mahindra Satyam.
