Mumbai, June 8 : Reliance Securities Limited, a part of Reliance Capital, Wednesday launched an investor awareness programme (IAP) that will cover over 150,000 investors across the country within fiscal 2011-12, a company official said.

Pune, June 8 : Tata Motors Wednesday inaugurated an eco-friendly, dual-fuel power generation facility in partnership with a Japanese company.

The facility, located in the Tata Motors' plant here, has been set up jointly with New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organisation (NEDO) which has worked on the project for the past two years, an official said.

Mumbai, June 8 : A benchmark index for Indian equities markets Wednesday closed 94 points lower as negative global cues dampened trader sentiments.

The 30-scrip sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), which opened at 18,448.4 points, was ruling at 18,401.86 points (provisional) -- down 93.76 points or 0.51 percent from its previous close at 18,495.62 points.

The Sensex was caught in a tight range, with a low of 18,365.94 points and a high of 18,505.10 points.

New Delhi, June 8 : The strike at the Maruti Suzuki plant in Haryana's Manesar town entered its fifth day Wednesday with talks between the workers and management failing to achieve a breakthrough. The company says it has suffered a production loss of 4,200 cars so far.

"The talks are going on. But this strike is illegal as no intimation was given. We had literally no idea as to why they (workers) went on strike in the first place as they did not inform us," Maruti Suzuki India chairman R. C. Bhargava told IANS.

New Delhi, June 8 : Bengali model-actress Nilaanjana Bhattacharya is all set to jazz up Telugu film "Duniya" with her sensuous moves in a sizzling item number inspired by Bollywood chartbuster "Munni badnaam hui", which featured Malaika Arora Khan.

Nilaanjana is expected to be seen in a steamy avatar in the song, which has been shot in the setting of a dhaba - just the way "Munni badnaam hui" was shot in a rural setting.
