BCCI agrees to use DRS during India vs England Test series

New Delhi [India], Oct. 21 : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has agreed the use the Decision Review System on a trial basis in the forthcoming Test series between India and England starting from the 9th of November, so as to evaluate the improvements made to the system, over a period of time

In the meeting with the International Cricket Council and the Hawkeye officials, the improvements made to the system were further evaluated by the BCCI team, who were satisfied that most of the concerns and suggestions that were expressed by BCCI over a period of time, were addressed to a significant extent.

'Social experiment' video showing black community against Trump found fake

New York [USA], Oct. 21 : A recent viral YouTube video of a social experiment showing the "black community is very violent towards Donald Trump and his supporters" has been found to be fake.

The video of a group of black men destroying a Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump supporter's car went viral after being picked up by conservative media.

The video was staged by YouTube "star" Joey Salads, a 22-year-old whose real name is Joseph Saladino, widely known on YouTube for his "prank" videos, which regularly rack up millions of views.

In the video, he explains how his "social experiment" will show how black people behave violently toward Donald Trump.

Centre to launch sixth tranche of SGB scheme on Oct. 24

New Delhi [India], Oct.21 : The government will launch the sixth tranche of Sovereign Gold Bonds (SGB) scheme on October 24, in which people can buy securities worth up to 500 grams.

The Union Finance Ministry in a statement said that the government, in consultation with the Reserve Bank, has decided to issue Sovereign Gold Bonds 2016-17 - Series III and applications for the bonds will be accepted from October 24 to November 2.

It said, the gold bond will be issued on November 17.

The bonds will be sold through banks, Stock Holding Corporation of India Limited (SHCIL), designated post offices and recognized stock exchanges.

'Didn't imagine myself as top scorer', says Suarez post winning second Golden Shoe

Johannesburg [South Africa] Oct. 21 : Barcelona star striker Luis Suarez yesterday received a second European Golden Shoe of his career after becoming the leading scorer in Europe's top domestic leagues last season and admitted he never imagined being the most prolific member of such a star-studded attack.

"I didn't imagine myself as the top scorer, I only thought about being a champion, winning the Champions League, which I have done," Suarez was quoted as saying by Sport24 at a prize-giving ceremony in Barcelona.

"I have team-mates who make it easy but I am not going to take credit from myself because it needs to be done and you need to be in the right place," he added.
