On Sunday, for cheating a man, by obtaining his credit card information and using it in an online transaction, a person was arrested in Delhi by the police. Following the investigations, into a complaint, which was filed by Mr. Sharad Kumar, they arrested Mr. Yunus who is a resident of Laxmi Nagar.

He complained that in March last year, a girl who identified herself as Pooja called him on phone for offering a Kotak Mahindra credit card. When he asked her to send a salesman, Mr. Amit Kumar visited him and took the Xerox of his ABN Amor credit card and Citibank card.

An extortion call was received by the manager of a private firm, which was supposedly from the Ravi Poojari gangster. He was asked to give Rs. 50 crore. On Sunday, Kiran Henry Pinto registered a case with the Police, who had received the call on the previous day around 4.30 pm.

In Chickpet, Mr. Pinto, who is the manager of JP Lights, an electrical showroom on Hospital Road, gave the complaint that the caller spoke in Hindi and gave his name as Ravi Poojari. He threatened that the consequences of refusing the demand will be dire.

Mr. Pinto had returned to India 1 year ago, after running transporting business for 14 years in Dubai. According to the police, the call came from the UK. They think it is an inside job.

New Delhi, Oct 25 : Leading fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) company Hindustan Unilever Monday reported a net profit of Rs. 566.12 crore for the second quarter of the current fiscal, a growth of 32.10 percent.

"The company has posted a net profit of Rs. 5,661.20 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2010, as compared to Rs. 4,285.30 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2009," the company said in a statement.
