Tata Steel brushes aside Mistry's charges

New Delhi [India], Oct 27 : Soon after Tata Sons Chairman Cyrus Mistry's removal on Monday, the attention was directed to the link of his interview that had been moved or removed from the company's website.

A day after Mistry's scathing remarks on the group's precarious finances and the potential debt write-down of USD 18 billion, Tata Steel has spoken about following all the guidelines in the concerned matter, and has 'nothing further to comment.'

"The financial statements of the company are prepared as a going concern basis and present a true and fair view of the state of the affairs of the company," Tata Steel said in a letter to the Bombay Stock Exchange ( BSE) and the National Stock Exchange ( NSE) on Thursday.

Islamabad High Court says Imran won't be allowed to shut down Islamabad on Nov. 2

Islamabad [Pakistan], Oct. 27 : The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday ordered the capital administration not to allow a shutdown of the city on November 2 during the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)'s proposed lockdown on November 2.

Government authorities have been directed by the court to follow all legally available courses to stop the protest in any part of the capital other than the designated "Democracy Park and Speech Corner," reports the Dawn.

The space has been designated by the Capital Development Authority ( CDA) in 2014 for political activities such as sit-ins and protests.

The directions were issued by the court while hearing four petitions, seeking the PTI to withdraw its decision to lockdown Islamabad.
