Poznan Climate Convention fails to yield outcome

The Climate Convention in Poland would continue for one more week as no constructive outcome has come on various environmental and climatic issues. Various countries across the globe would explain their point of view and possible solution in the second round of discussion at the old Polish town of Poznan.

Countries remained fail to build consensus on emissions of Greenhouse Gases issue which is a major cause of climate change and environment deterioration. Climate crisis is increasing day by day and there is a stern need to control it as soon as possible. Scientists believe that the concentration of Greenhouse Gases in the atmosphere has passed the danger limit and its impact would be soon visible.

Both developed and developing countries are counter arguing each other at Poznan Climate Convention. Developed countries want developing nations to drastically cut emission as per their earlier commitment. However, developing countries argued that richer countries are responsible for huge emission and they should take more measures instead of forcing under developed countries.

In Poznan Convention, Japan asked to redefine developed and developing nations by re-classifying "Annex I parties" as per the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Annex I is obliged to reduce emissions by specified percentages. China termed the move to redefine developed and developing nations as very unconstructive and destructive. The second round of convention is unlikely to break impasse on environmental and climatic issues.
