Hong Kong shares rise another 2.6 per cent in early trading
Hong Kong - Hong Kong shares rose on opening for the third consecutive day Thursday, jumping by 2.62 per cent in the first 20 minutes of trading.
Buoyed by further overnight gains on Wall Street, the city's blue-chip Hang Seng Index climbed 350.83 points to 13,720.28 points in early trading.
Hong Kong shares recorded strong gains on both Tuesday and Wednesday as the US government's bailout of banking giant Citigroup Inc and gains on Wall Street improved investor sentiment. (dpa)
