The world’s tallest man loves being the world’s biggest daddy!
London, November 19 : Bao Xishun, the world’s tallest man, who became the world’s tallest father on October 2, has said that his new born son is the apple of his life.
Xishun, the 7ft 9in former herdsman, married the 5ft6in Xia Shujuan in July 2007. Their little one ‘Tianyou’, who was born this year, was only slightly taller than the average newborns measuring a normal 22 inches in length.
But all his 58-year-old Chinese dad, recognised as the world’s tallest man by Guinness World Records in 2005, wants is to see his lad grow up to be a fine young gentleman.
“I have dreamed of becoming a father for so long. My life is nearly complete. All I wish for now is that my son grows up to be a fine young man in good health,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
“I hope to teach him lessons in life, such as the importance of being kind and working hard. I hope my height will help him to understand the importance of keeping an open mind and accepting those different from you,” he added.
Despite being saddened that his son won’t be able to reach out for his hand owing to his record-breaking length, Bao added it was all worth it till the time he could see his son gain height before his eyes.
He said: “I am proud of my height — but whether or not I am the world’s tallest man is not important. Seeing my son grow up and prosper is what matters most.” (ANI)
