DHABI, Nov. 18th, 2008: Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research received participants at the recent conference on "Electronic Media: Challenges and Opportunities" and the Global Space Technology Forum, both recently held in Abu Dhabi.

The meeting reviewed the goals of the two gatherings.

Meanwhile, Sheikh Nahyan received the head of Special Olympics International who is on a current visit to the UAE.

Sheikh Nahyan also received Andre Manly, head of the Ukrainian Trade and Economic Mission of Ukraine in presence of the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Sergiy O. Pas'Ko.

Sheikh Nahyan and Melnyk discussed the UAE-Ukraine economic and trade relations. He stressed that the UAE's economy is open to the rest of the world.

Sheikh Nahyan later held a dinner banquet in honour of his guests. Present at the banquet were a number of Sheikhs and officials.
