Free Treatment For Poor Diabetic Children
Jnana Sanjeevani Medical Centre at Marenahalli in Bangalore will provide medical care and insulin injection to 100 children, from below poverty line families till they complete schooling, under a free diabetic treatment programme.
This programme is supported by Sarojini Damodaran Charitable Trust.
Dr Srikanta, diabetologist and member of the Trust, said that the Centre mainly caters to children with type-1 diabetes, in which insulin shots form their lifeline.
The organisation has already diagnosed and treated more than 500 children and is now launching this programme to provide medical assistance to 100 more children. Along with this, the center also equips the children with social help. It helps them with admission into schools and also to get jobs.
