Fire in Kuwait's largest oil refinery contained
Kuwait - A major fire that broke out on Wednesday morning in an oil refinery in Kuwait is now under control, a source at Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) said.
The source told Kuwait news agency KUNA that firefighters stationed at Ahmadi, Shuaiba and Abdullah ports were currently working to put out the fire.
The fire occurred during maintenance duty on a pipeline, according to the source.
Al-Ahmadi is Kuwait's largest oil refinery with the capacity to process 460,000 barrels per day of crude oil. (dpa)
