Motherhood is a blessing of God to women. But some women are not fortunate enough to experience this blissful experience. Thirty tears ago , Patrick Steptoe and Professor Robert Edwards  developed in-vitro fertilization treatment to help such women. The success of this technique was marked by the birth of first test tube baby long time back. Since than three million babies have been born with the help of this technique.

Today the world celebrated the thirty years of success of IVF technique with the birthday of first test-tube baby. The first test tube baby, Louise Brown has turned thirty today. She is herself a mother now. Her birthday was celebrated at Bourn Hall fertility clinic in Cambridgeshire .This clinic was set up by the fertility pioneers Patrick Steptoe and Robert Edwards .This celebration was attended by the families of 30 children born through IVF.

Thirty years ago, Louise's birth created a wave of excitement all over the world. She was considered as the biggest achievement of the medical science.She was popularly known as the miracle child.In the present era IVF has become quite common. More than 30,000 women in Britain undergo IVF. It costs couples between £4,000 and £8,000.
