“Jihad against ‘major terrorist’ America an obligation of all Muslims”

Khar (Pakistan), July 3: An Islamic hardliner in Pakistan has reportedly said that it was incumbent on every Muslim across the world to fight alongside Afghan Muslims against America and its allied forces.

He said that America was the ‘major terrorist’ in the world and the biggest enemy of Islam and Pakistan.

Jaish-ul-Islami Pakistan’s (JIP) Bajaur Agency commander Wali-ur-Rehman said last evening that it was not un-Islamic to go to Afghanistan for jihad and to defend Afghan Muslims in the war against the US-led allied forces.

Addressing a press conference at an undisclosed location, he said that jihad against the US and NATO forces would continue until they were driven out of Afghanistan, reported the Daily Times.

Rehman further said that those spying for America would be strictly punished and would be publicly hanged to teach others a lesson. He said one of the spies arrested following the bombing of a Damadola madrassa in May by the US, had been beheaded, after the JIP had sentenced him to death according to the Islamic laws.

He attributed the worsening law and order in Pakistan and its Tribal Areas to the flawed policies of President Pervez Musharraf, which had made Pakistan and its Tribal Areas prone to the US-led allied forces’ attacks. (ANI)
