Morocco arrests 35 on terrorism charges

Rabat, Morocco  - Moroccan police have detained 35 people in several cities on charges of belonging to an al-Qaeda-linked terrorist network, police sources said Wednesday.

The network was believed to have sent 30 volunteers to carry out suicide attacks in Iraq, while three were recruited for operations in Algeria.

The ring was also planning terrorist attacks in Morocco, the source added. (dpa)
