Austrian police close motorway to save ducklings
Salzburg - Traffic police saved three ducklings by closing off one of Austria's main motorways, Salzburg police reported Thursday.
During morning traffic, police found that the young birds were "marching in single file" in the direction of Vienna, the press release said.
One officer closed down one side of the motorway for three minutes, while his colleague made sure the three ducklings found their way from the fast lane to the forest along the motorway.
One duck had already been run over before police arrived. (dpa)
