Nepal Govt recommends 75-member security team for King Gyanendra

Kathmandu, June 6 : The Nepal Government panel has recommended a 75-member security team for former King Gyanendra.

Submitting its report to Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula on Thursday during the meeting of the Central Security Committee, the panel proposed 50 Armed Police Force (APF) personnel and 25 army men for Gyanendra’s security.

The panel headed by a joint-secretary of the Home Ministry, Mod Raj Dotel, recommended that the APF team would take charge of the security of the former King.

The Nepal Army will assist only when necessary, Nepalnews reported. (ANI)
