HP Pockets Andhra Bank’s CBS Deal
Hyderabad: In order to serve its clients in a better way, Andhra Bank has chosen Hewlett-Packard (HP) India for carrying out a comprehensive core banking solution (CBS).
In a combined statement, the Indian nationalized commercial banking institution told that the recent proposal will enable it to attain substantial cost advantages and better business results in the vibrant and bloodthirsty banking arena,
According to the deal’s terms and conditions, HP would execute and administer comprehensive core banking solution (CBS) crosswise Andhra Bank divisions within the state.
The statement also cleared that the clients will access the banking and financial services anytime, anywhere via numerous channels of delivery.
HP would also provide adaptive infrastructure based on HP Integrity Servers, HP BladeSystems, HP Storage and Software, the statement said.
In addition, the infotech company would also implement delivery channels, risk management & compliance, asset liability management and credit appraisal solutions, it added.
K Ramakrishnan, Andhra Bank CMD said that the CBS execution is a clean example in the banking world, and the bank is pleased to be acting with HP for this attempt.
