Maruti-Suzuki launches upgraded WagonR

Maruti-Suzuki launches upgraded WagonRIndia's leading automaker, Maruti-Suzuki Private Limited (MSIL) has launched a refreshed version of its WagonR for 2013.

The new model comes with several updates to both its exteriors and interiors. On the exterior, the grille is narrower than the current version and the new version will have one horizontal strip instead of three earlier. The version also has a new bumper with a larger air dam and redesigned fog lamp housings. The external upgrades have changed the cars appeal and it appears to be more of an elegant car.

On the interior side, the dashboard now has a dual-tone colour scheme, which is for the top half and black for the bottom. The top model will now come with fully integrated `Eagle Wings' audio system with USB input. The new model will also be more fuel efficient by 8 per cent at 20.51 kmpl.

The newer version of WagonR is more expensive than the earlier model and will now be priced at Rs 3.58 lakh for the base WagonR Lx variant while the top of the line VXi trim model will be priced an Rs 4.42 lakh. The price presents a hike of Rs 10,000 across variants from the outgoing model in the country.
