Honda to sell Dream Yuga motorcycle in international marketsJapanese two-wheeler maker, Honda has said that it is planning to start selling the newly launched motorcycle Dream Yuga in the international markets within this year.

Dream Yuga motorcycle, which is aimed at the mass market in the country, was launched today in the Indian market. Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) president and chief executive Keita Muramatsu said that the company is planning to start exporting the model from November or December.

He pointed out that the company will focus on neighboring countries including Sri Lanka and Nepal in the beginning. Dream Yuga is powered by a 110-cc engine and comes in five colours and three variants.

Dream Yuga will be priced at about Rs 48,028 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Honda is looking to sell 27.5 lakh motorcycles and scooters in the current fiscal year, according to marketing vice-president YS Guleria. He said that Honda is looking to increase its market share by three percentage points from the present 15 percent with the launch of the new Dream Yuga model.

Guleria said, "We have seen 50 percent growth in the first two months of this fiscal. So, now with the dream Yuga in our product profile, we are quite confident of achieving the target."
