Rupee Rise Heat Adversely Affect Exporters

Rupee Sources have claimed that due to the sustained rupee rise heat, many exporters would be adversely affected because the software business margins had already been affected by the issue and they believed that their concerns could get worse.

Som Mittal, President of IT industry body Nasscom, accounted that the rising rupee cost had badly affected many companies and he did not had any idea that when the problem would come to an end.

He added, "It was an immediate reaction to the Reserve Bank's interest rate increase, which was higher than what many had expected".

Meanwhile, after the MindTree’s profit, on account of the rupee approval, recorded a loss of 0.8%, Rostow Ravanan, the CFO, asserted that the Company failed to predict the profit rate as on its receivables the Company evaded up to 50%.

Showing his concern on the issue, Sujit Sircar, CFO of iGate, quoted, "The industry has seen the rupee in the Rs 39-50 range in the past and the sector has weathered this storm well in the past too”.

On the other hand, IT companies were bravely facing the rupee problem because the requirement for IT services was helping to oppose the bang of the rupee.
