Sun TV To Launch ‘FM Station’ In Allahabad & Jabalpur Under SFM

Indian’s second largest television network Sun TV Network is all set to Sun TV Networklaunch its FM Radio Stations at Allahabad and Jabalpur under the brand name ‘SFM’ from March 18 and March 19 respectively.

The company will launch the new FM stations through its subsidiary “M/s. South Asia FM Ltd.” The new launchings will increase the total number of Sun’s radio stations to 27 across the country.

Heard at 93.5 MHz frequency in Allahabad and Jabalpur, the new FM Radio Stations will cater to the audience of all age groups.

SFM has already launched stations in different cities including Pondicherry, Chennai, Vijayawada, Coimbatore, Tuticorin, Tirunelveli, Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Tirupati, Thrissur, Lucknow, Madurai, Mangalore, Bhopal, Kozhikode (Calicut), Indore, Varanasi, Tiruchy, Rajahmundry, Bangalore, Kanpur, Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram.

The company will shortly launch 18 more stations as it has licenses to open 45 FM Radio Stations crosswise India. With the opening of 18 more radio stations, Sun TV will become one of the biggest radio broadcasters in India.

The stock of the company, on Monday (17 Mar) marked its closure at Rs.291.55, down 4.39% on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). The stock also touched an intraday high of Rs.295 and low of Rs.287 during the day. The total volume of the shares traded stood at 8990.
