ONGC joins JJ hospitals with donation of MRI machineThe beginning of the new era for JJ Hospitals comes ahead with the public private partnership with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). It started with the donation received from ONGC, the form of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine.

The machine which saw its opening at Gokuldas Tejpal Hospital (GT) on Monday seeks to benefits all those needy who cannot afford the cost at private healthcare units.  

A statement by the superintendent of the hospital Dr AP Chaudhari, says, “The machine will definitely benefit people who cannot afford the costs at private MRI centers. The new machine is much faster than the older models and will allow us to scan more patients in a shorter span of time”.

It fools a statement which stated the lack of doctors and technicians had forced the state-run hospital to enter into a PPP. It will be run on a basis of partnership with First Healthcare Pvt. Ltd (Spectrum Healthcare) for the next three years. Patients will be served on priority basis. As it runs on trial basis, it will try to seek the futuristic usage in this method.

Instated the private partner needs to perform at least 12 MRIs a day. The cost which is borne by the partner is Rs 4 lakhs as rental for the land and electricity.
