One more award was added to the ever increasing collection of Star of the millennium Amitabh Bachchan and King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan. They were honored at the FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry) Frames Excellence Awards.

Shahrukh was honored as Global Entertainer of the Year, for his contribution in the entertainment world which was not restricted to his films only, but also to television and cricket. Amitabh Bachchan received the Best Actor of the Year for the Films for his excellent performance in the movie 'Paa'. Vidya Balan also earned the Best Actor of the Year: Films – Female, for her role in 'Paa'.

'3 Idiots' received the award for the Best Film of the year and Rajkumar Hirani received the Best Director award for the same. Another Interesting award was for the Entertainer of the Year award which went to Bollywood's most promising actor Ranbir Kapoor.

Apart from film industry, there were awards for the Television stars as well. Viacom 18's Colors won the award for the best General Entertainment Channel, Its daily soap 'Uttaran' took away the Most Successful Drama Series of the Year Award. Ayub Khan of ‘Uttaran’ managed for himself the Best Actor of the Year: TV –Male. Zee TV's 'Dance India Dance' grabbed the Most Successful Non-Fiction Show of the Year Award.
