GSPL awards a contract to Suzlon
Suzlon Energy, one of the country's largest wind turbine manufacturers, has made an announcement today that lured investors to buy its shares. The company has managed to bag a contract from Gujarat State Petronet Ltd.
(GSPL).
The contract comprises setup of 52.5 MW wind energy project in Gujarat by Suzlon Energy. The operation, the setup and the maintenance, would be done in the regions of Rajkot and Porbandar. The GSPL's 52.5 MW wind energy project was filed in a filing done to BSE.
Gujarat has attracted a number of investors in the recent times including the all famous Nano plant's shifting from West Bengal. This has helped the boost in Gujarat economy to make a greater impact. Also in the filing was mentioned the completion date and the commissioning date, which was July 2010.
35 units of Suzlon S82-1.5 MW wind turbine generators are to be supplied by the company as a part of the contract. Those generators would be generating a 52.5 MW of power.
The financial detailing has not yet been disclosed by the company. After the contract GSPL's power output has now increased to 105 MW in Gujarat.
