JSW Energy files regulatory application for its IPO; to raise Rs 3000 crore
JSW Energy Ltd, a part of JSW Group, has filed regulatory application for an initial public offer (IPO) to raise up to 3000 crore.
The price band is expected to be at Rs 190-200 per equity share.
The company intends to utilize issue proceeds to part fund power projects and mining venture. At present, JSW Energy has a capacity of 560 megawatts and is building
3,090 megawatts of capacity.
It should be noted that the company had earlier planned for its IPO worth upto $1 billion, but later scrapped it due to the global financial meltdown.
JM Financial, Kotak Mahindra Capital Co, JPMorgan and Morgan Stanley will be arrangers of the offer.
