Western India Shipyard bags order worth Rs 6.60 crore; Stock up 5%

Western India ShipyardGoa-based Western India Shipyard Ltd has notified that it has received a major Ship repair order worth Rs 6.60 crore from Dredging Corporation of India.

The order is expected to be completed and redelivered during the quarter ended September, 30 2009.

Western India Shipyard Limited operates as a composite ship repair facility in India.

Apart from India, the company also has operations in the United States, Denmark, Singapore, Italy, the United Kingdom, Holland, Germany, Hong Kong, and Chile.

The scrip of the company closed today at Rs 10 on BSE, up 5% compared to its previous close. The counter has made 52-week-high and low of Rs 16 and Rs 3 respectively.
