Lahore, Feb. 2 : Released Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Aitzaz Ahsan has asked President Pervez Musharraf to step down.

Addressing the general house meeting of the Lahore High Court Bar Association on Friday, the Daily Times quoted Aitzaz as saying terrorism would reduce “by 80 percent” if Musharraf quit.

He also predicted that the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) would not win more than 30 seats if the February elections were fair, but fair elections were not possible without independent judges.

He also Musharraf’s remarks on sacked chief justice Iftikhar Chaudhry during his tour of Europe last week were indecent. (ANI)
