KEC International receives two orders worth Rs. 98 crores from Power Grid Corp.

KEC International, one of the leading power transmission equipment Company, has secured two contracts worth Rs 97.53 Crores from Power Grid Corporation of India.

The first order worth Rs. 56.87 Crores is for the Supply and Construction of 400 KV Double Circuit Ranchi — Rourkela Transmission line on turnkey basis. The length of the line is 141 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by November 2009.

While, the second contract worth Rs. 40.66 Crores is for Supply and Construction of 132 KV Single Circuit and Double Circuit Transmission line in North Bihar on turnkey basis.
The job involves supply of towers, Conductor, Insulator, other line materials, erection and commissioning. The length of the line is 150 Kms and the project is scheduled to be completed by July 2009.          

In a separate release, company has announced its Q3FY08 numbers. It has posted profit after tax of Rs 52.3 crore, up 37 YoY. Net sales went up 24% at Rs 708 crore.
