Suhasini Ratnam To Direct Kannada Film Later This Year
Well-known Kannada actor Suhasini Mani Ratnam is all set to start a new innings of her life.
According to sources, if everything goes well, Suhasini Mani Ratnam will direct a Kannada film soon.
It is expected that the shooting of the film will start by the end of this year or early next year.
The 47 year old actor had already worked as a director with the Tamil film, named, Indira, in 1996.
Apart from directing a film, the veteran actor has directed Tamil teleserials like ‘Penn’. She has also co-directed the tele-serial ‘Ganesh-Vasanth’.
However, due to some reasons she could not continue on the directorial path.
Speaking on this, Suhasini said, “Dr Vishnuvardhan has always been telling me to take up direction and I kept on refusing citing my son's education. Now that my son has reached the university, I may take up direction of a Kannada film by next year.”
She made her debut in Kannada through 'Benkiyalli Aralidha Hoovu' in 1984. The attractive actor has worked in all the four south Indian film industries. Moreover, the talented actor has also received three Filmfare awards for her roles in Benkiyalli Aralidha Hoovu, Bandhana and Amrutha Varshini.
