Snoop Dogg To Become First Living Rap Icon To Be Waxed At ‘Tussauds’
Rapper Snoop Dogg has added another feather to his cap.
Snoop will become the first living rap icon to be ‘waxed’ at the famous Madame Tussauds Museum in Las Vegas.
“Fa shizzle dizzle I said yes when asked,” Snoop told media persons adding, "I'm honored! The D O double G got a double."
The twelve time Grammy nominated rapper said, “It’s real to be immortalized (in wax) in the ranks with President Barack Obama.”
Dogg’s 300,000-dollar statue, sporting his trademark braided cornrows, would be positioned in the “On Stage” area of the museum.
Dogg, who will be the third rapper displayed at one of the renowned museums, will have his statue unveiled on Monday, April 20.
A shirtless and tattooed Tupac Shakur's wax statue reside in Vegas, whilst Biggie Smalls's figure is in New York.
Both rappers received the honor after death.
Roxanne Holland of Madame Tussuad’s said, “When we asked guests who they wanted to see next, Snoop was at the top of the list.”
“When our team from London met with Snoop in Hollywood, he gave us about two hours and we took nearly 200 measurements, matched eye, skin and hair coloring,” Roxanne Holland added.
