London, Apr 3  English striker Peter Crouch, who vowed that he would never again perform his infamous robotic dancing in an England shirt, did it just four days after to break his Wembley promise.

Crouch completely forgot that vow after scoring his first goal for England against the Ukraine on Wednesday. He bagged the opener in the crucial 2-1 Wembley win and said: "I'm blaming Rio entirely for that goal celebration."

"I had no plans to do anything like that but Rio came running up to me right at the end of my celebration and shouted at me to pull the rope. It was just a bit of fun. It's always enjoyable when you score a goal for England and it was just a welcome release," he said.

Crouch, 28, has been trying to play down his dancing skills ever since he first performed his robotics at a David Beckham charity gala three years ago, The Sun reported.

But he was urged to bring back and add to his crowd-pleasing routine by Gavin and Stacey comedian James Corden during a recent Comic Relief sketch.

Crouch admitted: "I took his advice but I can assure you it won't become a regular thing."

Now Crouch is hoping he has finally convinced boss Capello of his worth after appearing to be the England's manager's last resort.

Capello admitted before Wednesday night's game that Crouch was only making his first start for him because Emile Heskey, Carlton Cole and Darren Bent were all ruled out by injury.

But after firing England into a first-half lead with his 15th international goal, he believes he has made his point. (ANI)
