Being a woman in Sharia-dominated Pak can be unnerving: US

Washington, Mar. 12: The United States Congress, and particularly the Senate, feels that being a woman in a Pakistan dominated by the Sharia can be an unnerving experience.

When Senator Lindsey Graham, a South Carolina Democrat, asked the Director of the Defence Intelligence Agency, Major General Michael Maples “If you were a woman in Pakistan, would that be unnerving to you?”, Maples replied “Absolutely sir it would.”

He further went on to say that it would be unnerving to the United States “from the standpoint of what that means to other militants.”

“And we’re very concerned about that,” he concluded. (ANI)
