Ninestars To Invest Rs 60 Cr To Swell Operations

Chennai: Aming to swell its functioning in India as well as overseas, Ninestars Information Technologies Ltd, a content transformation and e-archival technology and services provider, has planned to invest Rs 60 crore within the next 18 months.

The privately held company works with publishers, broadcasters, content aggregators, media monitoring companies and administration organisations to offer intellectual business development outsourcing services.

Pradeep Nevatia, President and Chief Executive Officer said that the projected investment would be utilized to added research and development processes, establishing worldwide delivery centres in the United States and Australia. The company would also increase its Indian headcount to 3,500 from the existing 1,100 employees. Funding mechanisms for the investment are being exercised.

The company has invested around Rs 25 crore till date, comprising about Rs 8 crore in research and development.
