NCT'&'H makes waves at WTM 2008

World Travel MarketDhabi, Nov 21st, 2008 : The National Corporation for Tourism '&' Hotels (NCT'&'H) has made waves in the recently concluded World Travel Market (WTM) in London, making substantial achievements as part of its impressive participation in the stand of Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The NCT'&'H has signed a host of business agreements with leading tour operators and hoteliers in Britain, Europe and other countries for dispatching group of tourists to spend holiday in hotels owned by the Corporation in Abu Dhabi, said a statement.

The agreement covered online booking in hotels owned or managed by the Corporation which comprise Danat Resort Jebel Dhanna, Al Raha Beach Hotel Abu Dhabi, Liwa Hotel, Dhafra Beach Hotel and Mirfa Hotel.

The release said the ten-member team had conducted more than 250 working meetings with managers of marketing , public relations, tourism and travel agencies, e-commerce companies, media, advertising in Europe. NCT'&'H top executives had also networked and interacted with European eco-tourism companies, TV satellite channels, other media organs and leisure advertising and marketing companies.

The European tourism and travel market is given proper attention as the European holiday maker is lured by Abu Dhabi charming nature, competitive prices, security, stability and top class hospitality services, the NCT'&'H noted.

It added that its leisure plans and packages displayed at the international prestigious travel trade show have evoked overwhelming enthusiasm from tourism and travel operators, exhibitors and visitors from Europe and other countries of the world.

As a result of this resounding success, the NCT'&'H expects that more influx of holidaymakers would flow into Abu Dhabi next year given the early bookings and anticipated raft of world exhibitions and conferences scheduled to be held in Abu Dhabi in 2009.

Miss Rawass, Group Marketing Manager of the hotels, said: 'In view of the series of agreements the NCT'&'H signed, we are looking forward to an eventual year that is full of promising opportunities and successes. We also aimed at increasing our share in the travel and tourism market in Abu Dhabi, in particular, and the UAE, in general'.

Recognising the unstinted support lent by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) for the industry, Miss Rawass added that Abu Dhabi's spirit had been strongly felt and captured at the WTM, one of the world's most influential gatherings on world tourism landscape.

Occupying prime position in the Middle East zone, the Abu Dhabi stand showcased the principle attractions under development.

Designed to symbolise Abu Dhabi's astonishing landscape, the stand reflected the elegance and diversity of the Emirate, giving visitors a taste of the historical heart of the UAE. Models of Sa'adiyat Island, Abu Dhabi's new cultural district, and the Desert Islands destination, which lies off the Emirate's western coastline, were artistically displayed on stand, illustrating the Emirate's core values of cultural respect, global connectivity and environmental stewardship.
