NCCF earns Rs 1.58 crore net profit in FY 08-09

NCCF earns Rs 1.58 crore net profit in FY 08-09National Cooperative Consumers' Federation of India (NCCF) on Saturday announced that it has recorded a profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 1.58 crore in the financial year 2008-09.

In a filing to Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), the company said that it has clocked a PAT of Rs 1.58 crore compared to a net loss of Rs 2.39 crore in a year-ago period.

The turnover from sales surged by 55.53% to Rs 857 crore from Rs 551 crore during the review period.

While commenting on the occasion, Mr. R K Srivastava, managing director of NCCF said, "The business of export has tremendously increased, which helped the Federation in a big way for generation of revenue."

NCCF, an apex body of the consumer cooperatives in the country, has diversified its business to new lines such as undertaking housing projects, agri-related infrastructure projects, supply of agri-inputs and medi-tourism.
