Musk posts update on twitter to look for ‘Autopilot’ car engineersElon Musk, the head of Tesla Motors, has taken to micro blogging site Twitter to look for the engineers for working on the company's auto pilot car project.

Musk has said earlier that the company is looking to develop its own "autopilot" technology for cars. In the latest post of Twitter, he wrote that the Palo Alto, California-based maker of electric cars is considering developing such a system for auto driven-cars. The company, which has been able to increase its market value beyond $20 billion this year, is aiming to become the most profitable seller of battery-powered vehicles using its own technology.

"Intense effort under way at Tesla to develop a practical autopilot system for Model S. Engineers interested in working on autonomous driving, pls email autopilot@teslamotors.com. Team will report directly to me," he wrote.

In order to meet its target, the company will have to expand production by another 35 per cent. The company is aiming major expansion and has also started taking orders for tis vehicles in one of the largest auto markets in the world, China as demand for the Model S continues to grow across various markets. Tesla had become the leading seller of rechargeable vehicles in the North American market ahead of General Motors' plug-in Volt and Nissan's battery-powered Leaf.
