Musharraf concerned over Pak govt’s handling of prevailing situation

Islamabad, July 1 : Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has reportedly expressed concerns over the coalition government’s handling of the economic, political and law and order crises currently prevailing in the country.

Musharraf expressed his feelings about the prevailing situation during a meeting with Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Pervaiz Elahi here last evening.

“The president was disturbed over how the political government was handling the various issues. He also expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the NWFP,” a close aide of Elahi quoted Musharraf as saying.

The President also asked the PML-Q leader to concentrate on maintaining unity among his party members, the sources said. They said Musharraf also reiterated that he was the constitutionally elected president and would continue to play his role, reported the Daily Times. (ANI)
