Mumbai Champs open their account with first win against Delhi Giants

Indian Cricket LeagueGURGAON: Mumbai Champs after facing continuous failure in five matches finally opened their account by winning over Delhi Giants. The ICL 20-20 match that took place in Gurgaon was more than predictable for the people who forecasted Delhi’s win with ease but to everyone’s surprise Mumbai turned the table to its favour.

The Champs set their mark at 174 but the Giants lost with a wide gap of 59 runs. It was the highest score in the tournament for the Champs who made the target score with a loss of four wickets Dheeraj Jadhav(59 off 47 balls), Hasan Raza (43 off 30 balls) and Ranjit Khirid (43 off 20 balls) led the team to the winning spree. Jadhav and Raza made a third wicket partnership of 72 runs from 51 balls.

The match took place at Tau Devi Lal stadium and Scores in the end were Mumbai Champs 174/4 (DS Jadhav 59, Hasan Raza 43, RD Khirid not out 43) beat Delhi Giants 116 in 17.3 overs (S Abbas Ali 31; Avinash Yadav 4/18) by 58 runs.
