Movie Review: Do Not Disturb
Once upon a time combination of David Dhawan and Govinda were thought as the perfect recipe for comedy. But time changes everything.
Do Knot Disturb by David Dhawan is an indication that a comedy needs much more than just this actor-director pair. This movie also reveals that lack of good script can make good actors look stupid.
Do Knot Disturb fails miserably as a comedy. There is nothing in the movie that can sustain interest of the audience. The movie is based on the stale theme of a husband cheating his wife and his stupid moves to hide truth from his wife.
Govinda once known for his comic acts fails miserably to make audience laugh this time. He shouts his dialogues and make irrational gestures but look stupid rather than comic. The script of the movie doesn't give other actors in movie like Sushmita Sen, Ritesh Deshmukh, Ranvir Shorey and Lara Dutta any scope to exert their acting talents. Only Rajpal Yadav manages to get few laughs in the movie.
This movie reveals that a good comedy needs more than a name of director and long list of stars to make it a hit. Good script and dialogues are the most important requirement of the film. Govinda and David Dhawan should stop now harassing audience in the name of comedy.
