Motorola Unveils Rs 1.11 Lakh Mobile Phone ‘Aura’ In India
Motorola has rolled out its hand-sculpted mobile phone named ‘AURA’, which is priced at Rs 1,11,492.
Targeted at trend-setter Indian, the new luxury and stylish handset was launched by Bollywood superstar and Motorola’s brand ambassador Abhishek Bachchan in Mumbai on Friday.
Junior Bachchan presented the first ‘Aura’ to ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, Head of India Operations, Motorola Mobile Devices said, “We are delighted to offer AURA to Indian consumers with its luxurious design, artistry and sensory experience.”
Mr. Siddiqui added that AURA is Motorola's newest high-tier handset who has a flavor for the delicately stylish, matchless quality and sumptuous luxury.
Motorola ‘Aura’ has come to the Indian market after hitting the markets in United States and United Kingdom this month.
Featuring a unique and classy design, Motorola claims ‘Aura’ as the world's first mobile phone with 16 million colour and 300 dpi resolutions.
Moreover, the phone, which has a circular display, features stainless steel housing together with the chemically engraved textures and patterns into its surface.
The phone sports 2GB on-board memory, and works on networks including the GSM 850, GSM 900, GSM 1800, GSM 1900 and EDGE Class 12 and GPRS Class 12.
The phone’s battery offers up to 7.3 hours of talk time plus 400 hours of standby time.
Other amazing features of the phone include Stereo Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR and AD2P, a 2 MP camera with fixed focus, USB 2.0 hi-speed for connectivity and Symphony browser.
Last but not least, Motorola’s proprietary CrystalTalk technology lets users to get rid of unwanted noises while talking through their Aura handset.
The Motorola AURA phone will be available from mid-March 2009 through exclusive premium luxury stores and select retail outlets.
The phone will be available in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ludhiana, Mumbai and Surat.
