Motorola, Pressmart Bring ‘Live News’ Service On Cell PhonesMotorola India Pvt Ltd has joined hands with Pressmart Media Ltd in order to launch the live ‘news-on-the-mobile’ service on cellular phones.

The newly announced service will be available on three Motorola handsets including Moto VE66, Motosurf A3000 and MotoROKR EM35.

Through this new service (news-on-the-mobile), users can have access to branded news content, which is powered by Pressmart.

In an announcement, Pressmart said that the users just have to select the WAP link ‘Daily News’ on their Motorola handsets to get free news content.

Moreover, the users can also have direct access to their favorite newspapers including the Asian Age, the Financial Express and Deccan Chronicle while on the move.

Mr. Faisal Siddiqui, head of India Operations, Motorola Mobile Devices, clarified, “We are delighted to bring the unique news-on-the-mobile service to the information-seeking Indian for whom news is an integral part of everyday life.”

“New applications on Motorola mobile phones are driven out of our desire to anticipate and fulfill Indian consumers’ needs and aspirations,” Mr. Siddiqui added.

The ‘news-on-the-mobile’ service is particularly designed for the mobile screen for best viewing experience. A GPRS connection is mandatory to access the free news content.

The live-news-on-the-mobile service is available for free.
