M&M dealers turn Farm advisors
Running with a goal of retaining its leadership position in the tractors segment, the automotive firm Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd (M&M) is now turning its dealerships across the country into farming advice centres with an aim of strengthening its brand image in the Indian market and boost the tractors sales.
Sanjeev Goyle, senior vice-president of marketing at M&M said that the mandate by the company to the dealers has been beyond selling tractors.
Notably, M&M became the first company to sell 1 lakh tractors in a year last fiscal. Primarily known as Mahindra Samriddhi Centres, the dealers also have a small farm wherein, they can demonstrate the best farming techniques.
Similarly, automakers like Hero Honda and Maruti Suzuki also have separate teams for rural marketing in the Indian market. Mahindra stands at the largest tractors players in India and in the world as well.
Selling close to 160,000 units' last fiscal, M&M holds a strong 42% market share in the tractors market. Surely, M&M is getting stronger by the day to retain its position n in the Indian tractors market.
