Michelle Obama may don Kai Milla’s gown on inauguration gala
New York, January 17 : Michelle Obama may walk hand in hand with hubby-US President-elect Barack in a gown designed by Kai Milla at the Inauguration ceremony on January 20.
The first African-American to be the First Lady of the United States had made much impact with the clothes she wore throughout the campaign and was subsequently dubbed as a fashion icon by experts.
The mum of two has been amongst the most sought after lady, the designers would run to dress.
And now, Kai, who has sketched for Oprah, Eva Mendes, and Salma Hayek, has joined the list of top labels who have submitted their designs to Obama's better half for the inauguration gown.
The wife of Steve Wonder has created an exclusive "Inaugural Collection," after being inspired by the historic election, and, partially by Michelle herself.
"I would be over the moon if Michelle were to wear one of my designs. It would be an amazing honor," the New York Daily News quoted her as saying.
"Not only because of her role as the first lady but for me as an African-American woman.
"She''s a very strong statuesque woman and my collection brings out a lot of that," she added. (ANI)
