Michael Jackson approached for London showsLondon, November 9 : Michael Jackson is high on the list of promoters who have reportedly made offers to tempt the singer for a string of shows in London.

The King of Pop is said to have had a ‘standing offer with no expiration’ to play at the O2 arena made by Promoters AEG Live – they were behind the ‘Spice Girls’ reunion tour and Prince''s recent London concert, reports the Daily Express.

The reports come in the backdrop of the artist’s recent return to the top spot in the Billboard''s Top Pop Catalog Albums with his 1982’s superhit album ‘Thriller’.

The album, which has allegedly become America’s top-selling catalogue album of 2008, reclaimed the title from its previous position at 41, according to sources.

The 50-year-old, whose career had taken a beating in 2005 following a child abuse trial against him for which he was later acquitted, had previously confirmed that he was preparing to make a comeback soon with a tour. (ANI)
