Mercedes not launching the A-Class soon

Mercedes not launching the A-Class soonWhile it was claimed by many media reports that the German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz is working on a plan to launch the A-Class soon in the Indian market but the official spokesperson of the company has declined any developments on the same.

In fact, the launch of A-Class and B-Class in the Indian market has been talk of the town for a long time now but the company has always said that it will launch the products when it feels the Indian market is ready for the same.

While it is believed that the company will launch the new A-Class around the Rs. 20 lakh mark, experts were of a view that the price will be a little too much to ask for from the Indian consumer.

Notably, the A-Class is a small car produced by Mercedes-Benz that is available in most of its worldwide markets minus destinations like China, North America or India. The spokesperson has also added that the media reports claiming the launch of A-Class in the near future are untrue.

The earlier media reports quoted Peter Trettin, president and CEO of Daimler, Central and Eastern Europe, Africa and Asia as the source for the earlier A-Class launch in the Indian market.
