Mercedes high on sales
Indian economy has recovered well and every now and then, the major companies come with figures to attest this fact. BMW in the last month announced the launch of its 2 new 3 series cars in Indian markets stating that the markets promised a lot and the purchasing power of the youth had been increasing along with an increasing desire to possess big brands.
Another luxury carmaker Mercedes has now come with figures that have surprised all.
Mercedes Benz reported a 78% rise in their sales for the month of February 2010. The phenomenal rise of 78% was as compared to the number of cars sold in the same month last year. Last year, the company had just sold 246 units in February as compared to a phenomenal 439 units this year. The growth sales figures amount to 157% if the figures are taken for January- February cumulative. The company sold 342 units during the first 2 months last year while 842 units this year.
The favorites of the Indians include the S-class and E-class while the C-class also has decent numbers at 172.
