McLaren’s affordable cars launched
Luxury always comes at a price! Who would not like to have a McLaren? But now all those aspirers with a big pocket can afford to think of obtaining this luxury at £150,000.
This supercar model MP4-12C was termed as an "affordable" ranged version, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton revealed. The model sought a production facility involving a sum of £40 million, reported McLaren Automotive.
It is believed that the 32,000 square metre plant at Woking, Surrey has been constructed to produce the high-performance MP4-12C car. The unit will take a year before it rolls out the models for customers. At the same time this production unit creates new job opportunities for people.
McLaren has termed this model as an 'affordable range car' as it employs one-piece carbon-fibre chassis, which cuts down the price by half from the original £300,000 price.
