The leading automakers of the country Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Toyota, Nissan and Ford have planned to focus on the mini MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) segment.

As per sources the companies are seriously thinking to come up with certain new products that can help them to capture this MPV segment. This year auto sales has been quite impressive. In the month of April this year it has broken down a decade old record of monthly sales.

The car sales have been even better. It has also seen a remarkable amount of growth in sales as well as revenue production.

So far as this segment is concerned, competitive pricing and volume sales has encouraged these auto makers to invest in this segment. This segment is having huge potential in emerging market like India. The Indian joint families prefer cars from this segment.

Apart from that, it can provide a better fuel efficiency as well. It can be made 7-8 seater to hit the Indian markets in this year.
