Martyr Hemraj’s family on hunger strike, want his head back
Mathura, Jan 12 : Martyred soldier Lance Naik Hemraj's family along with several people of his village Shernagar in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, are sitting on hunger strike and demanding the assassinated soldier's head to be brought back from the Pakistani troops.
The Army had confirmed on Wednesday that two of its soldiers were first shot dead by Pakistani troops and then beheaded, and that the head of one of the soldiers had not been found.
The inhuman and barbaric act of mutilation and violation of ceasefire has erupted tension across the border.
India had summoned the Pakistani High Commissioner Salman Bashir to lodge its protest over the killing. Political parties, mainly the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have called for tough action against Pakistan. (ANI)
