Manchester City sign Toure from Arsenal
London - Big-spending Manchester City confirmed on Wednesday that they have signed Arsenal defender Kolo Toure for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old Toure signed a four-year contract with City, joining Carlos Tevez, Gareth Barry and Roque Santa Cruz as summer signings at the cash-rich club.
"I am delighted to welcome Kolo to Manchester City," the club's manager Mark Hughes said. "It is no secret that we have been looking to strengthen our defence, and in Kolo I feel we have recruited a world-class player. He brings a wealth of Premier League experience."
